Live and work for 16 days in the Blue mountain region of Jamaica, a rural
and economically impoverished area. Students will work on community projects
primarily with children at one of two local school houses. Prior to
the trip students attend a series of class sessions covering subjects that are particularly relevant to the trip, including discussion on
cross-cultural psychology, child development and issues of race, gender, and
power. The course and trip is at the very least an adventure, and for than
180 students that have participated, the
experience has been life altering.
