All of the professional/technical programs offer a two-year Associate in Applied Arts & Sciences (AAAS) degree. Many also offer a one-year Certificate of Proficiency (CP) and in some cases the even shorter-term Certificate of Completion (CC). Planning sheets which outline program course requirements are available for all programs, and students are encouraged to work closely with advisors in their specific professional/technical program when registering for classes. Most of the professional/technical programs are open to any Shoreline student. There are two, however – Dental Hygiene and Nursing -- that receive more applications each year than there are available student spaces. These programs, therefore, require a separate admission process and are quite selective. International students are welcome to study in all of the professional/technical program areas, with the exception of the Automotive Program. This program is unique in that it includes a significant work component. Students in the program therefore must be eligible to work in the United States. Unfortunately, the restrictions of a non-resident student visa prohibit international students from participating in Shoreline’s Automotive Program.
